I have a dual boot system, a windows 7 64 bit and an ubuntu 12.04 Lts alongside it. Because I bought my laptop with a bundled windows 7 pro, my disk have a reserved partition, a recovery partition, a partition for my windows and two partitions of ext4 and swap formats for my ubuntu which I created during installing it. Now I have a problem in windows that I can not create another partition from my unallocated space due to limitations of basic disks. I googled the problem and the suggestion was to convert my disk to dynamic in order to create more partitions. I wanted to ask you if someone else has done this before with windows disk manager before ? If I do this from windows, would it create any problem for my grub and ubuntu boot ? Does ubuntu generally support booting from dynamic disks ? Any kind of advice and experience would be appreciated.
