For RACH Msg1 which Scheduler (UL Scheduler/DL Scheduler) allocates the resources in eNodeB?

Rach resources are fixed in UL direction for msg1. ENB broadcasts rach resources information in sib2. UE reads rach info from sib2 and can send msg1 accordingly. ENB has to listin msg1 in every rach occasion.

Just to add on, since RACH resources are known to UE by reading SIB2 but RACH collision occur because there is no scheduling in place for RACH preamble.

Hi sripathi,

Actually ENB MAC UL Scheduler has to reserve 6 RB in each PRACh sub frame. There will be scheduling takes place to reserve 6PRB's but it is not meant for the UE scheduling that's collision takes place. Ya i agree with veer but with out MAC UL scheduler PHY cant reserve blindly resource for PRACH. every PRACH sub frame MAC UL scheduler has to inform to PHY that this is PRACH sub frame.
