I have Linux Mint cinnamon 17.3 on my laptop. Now I want install Windows 10 in a dual-boot. How can I do this?
I don't want to lose my Mint files, and I have search out the web there is GRUB that will do so. Can anyone tell me the process.
First reinstall latest grub using command in terminal. Go to bios Go change booting order I.e. make cd or USB drive as first device for checking for bootloader
Put ur Windows booting CD or bootable pendrive in there slot
Run the system
I want to install ubuntu 17.2. But after inserting my bootable pendrive I get this message on my screen. Setup Error: end kernel panic - not syncing: vfs: unable to mount root fs on unknown block(2,0). Please anyone problem?
I am used to traditional update-rc.d et all.
Now I wonder how to add a a script that used to called by init.d (with start/sop ..) to the new "service start xx" regime.
All the tutorials I found talk about how to use update-rc.d..
Can someone share the command if its there?
building bootloader or configuring bootloader or building rootfs from scratch
