Hi,

FDD in LTE:

By simple words FDD means DL will be in different channels and UL will be in different channels. say If ENB running in 20 MHZ BW then total 40 MHZ will be occupied for Ul and DL.

TDD in LTE:

UL and DL will be running in same BW by sharing the times. say there are total 10 SF in one RF, so there can be (sample configuration)6 SF for the DL and 4 SF for the UL in single RF. By sharing like this ENB will be consuming only 20 MHZ instead of 40MHZ. But throughput you cant achieve compare to FDD.
