Can any one please tell me what is the purpose of RLC Header and MAC Header in L2 protocol??

Since both the protocols have different functionalities, they exchange different set of information to their peers.
RLC header carries the information related to segmentation and re-assembling while MAC header carries the information like logical channel id and MAC control element.
