LTE: Where all places virtualization technology can be used ?

Now and days, most of my friends are talking about virtualization. Can someone please tell me what is the criteria to implement virtualization ? When it is advantageous as compare to legacy? We have a number of nodes in LTE network such as eNodeB, MME, SGW, PGW etc and what all nodes can be virtualized ?

Hi,

As per my understanding, You can vitualize whole service network. In the core network part till PHY layer you can keep in cloud.However PHY cant be virtualized. so reamining all can be virtualized.
