What is frequency synchronization in lte? And how it is achieved through pss?

Now and days, people are talking about various features that are going to be implemented in LTE network under the umbrella of 5G.
I heard so many terms but one term "content caching", I could not understand completely. I understood content caching at the networ edge can avoid network congestion for a popular content. I want to know, how it is going to be implemented for the LTE network ?

The term synchronization which describes the coordination. Frequency synchronization means the frequency cordination between sender and receiver (Tx and Rx).

PSS is used to identify center of the channel bandwidth in frequency domain (PSS is located in center 62 subcarriers to the last symbol of timeslot 0 and 10 in FDD). by using this PSS subframe, slot and symbol level synchronization can be acheived. But Frame level synchronization can be acheived by SSS.
