I want to learn software development sides, how can I learn this?

I am a cse student of just. Now I don't know anything about software development and I want to start this from the beginning.
Please help me to start from initial stages.

Hi, if you are a cse student then i hope you are good in programming, If not then start any of the programming language like c,c++,c#,java. If you are looking for the job in embedded then you should learn c,c++. after this start learning compiler tools, development platform like LINUX etc.In C programming concentrate IPC and DS and memory management. These all you can get the materiel from internet.
