Is there a correlation between physical cell identity and root sequence index (sent in SIB2)?

I wonder if changing of physical cell identity (CPI) should have an impact on value of rootSequenceIndex. I couldn't find information about this anywhere, at least nothing that comes to me.

Hi,

Rootsequence index will have tight relationship with PCI, At least nearby PCI should not have same root sequence index to avoid RACH problems . If you are checking in single PCI environment then it is upto ENB that it can change rootsequence index or not. But in real time all providers will have PCI planning so that they will be adjusting the Rootsequence index .
