Hi,

there is no difference between default and dedicated bearers. Default bearers will be established at the time of PDN connectivity request, dedicated bearers will be established at the time of service request or any DL data arrives. Bearers properties will be decided based on the QCI table. N-GBR bearer can be a default bearer.

In LTE, when UE is first time attached to a network, it is usually allocated a default non-GBR bearer. Can this bearer be converted to a GBR bearer, without releasing the UE context at eNodeB?
