VoNR is going to be supported after Stage 2 of 5G 3gpp specification is done, in Q1 2019. That is 5G SA. In NSA we can use VoLTE as UE is connected simoultaneously to both technologies.

Can we use VOLTE in LTE supported mobile? in india JIO provides VOLTE service to all its users, but all LTE mobiles doesn't support VOLTE if my understandings is correct, then how all JIO users are using VOLTE call without VOLTE support?

Does anyone have bench marking report on max simultaneous VoLTE calls ? Each VoLTE call reserves some bandwidth due to GBR in nature ? I am looking for answer in ideal conditions.

Sometimes due to coverage hole issue in the LTE network, the ongoing VoLTE is continued to UE by using the CS network like GSM network. This is known as SRVCC (Single Radio Voice Call continuity). What messages are exchanged between network nodes when UE moves from LTE to GSM ?
