Good Question :)
PGW will open the internet Bearer with EPS Bearer ID = 5
and for the new APN/Service PGW will open it with EPS Bearer ID = 6
Both Bearers are Default Bearer but with different EPS Bearer IDs

Hi Ahmed,

Why it creates two default bearer, if single PDN supports both service then it can flow the packets in single default bearer right?
Hi Ahmed,

You mean to sat that in this case the UE wll have two default bearers one is  for IMS and one is for Internet (as Two APNs) , do UE will have two IP addresses for same PGW?? is it possible ? .
Yes, it is possible. A single UE can connect to two APNs served by same PGW. For each APN connection, PGW assigns a different IP address.
Hello Akhilesh,
Because you mentioned you are using different APNs.
Different APNs = Different Bearers :)
Hi Ahmed,

1.If a UE request for a new APN. Then why another default bearer is created. A dedicated bearer can also be triggered to support the new APN ?
2. If a UE is attached and having a PDN connection with QoS1. Now UE request for diff service (diff QoS2-GBR) with same APN then which msg UE should trigger to create another bearer for QoS2?
Please correct me

Thanks,

Hi Ahmed,
But if a UE is requesting for new APN which is having diff QoS value.
                Default Bearer (QoS-X)>>APN1>>EBI5
                New request for (QoS-Y)>>APN2>>EBI6
My question is why a dedicated bearer is not created?
Multiple Dedicated Bearers can be mapped to one Default bearer. Why another default bearer?
Thanks,
Sambit

GTP tunnel id is a 32-bit long value over one IP address combination. Suppose there are two nodes A and B which has IP addresses X and Y respectively. Is it possible when first GTP tunnel id range gets exhausted then both the nodes starts using different IP address combination and again GTP tunnel id range can be re-used ? If it is impossible then what could be the reason ?
