EIRP- effective isotropic radiated power. Used in measurement of radiated output power from an ideal isotropic antenna in a single direction. When we channel that power into a single direction and calculate the power it is known as EIRP. It will be the maximum power emitted by the antenna in the direction with highest antenna gain.
In 5G EIRP measurements in various directions, operators can determine the beam shapes, and safety of field strengths close to the base station .EIRP is vital to determine transmitter power and beam verification of a 5G base station. It provides the mobile operator with a reliable indicator of signal strength anywhere in a cell once path loss is taken into consideration.
