A part of the RAC development group, our team focuses on cluster file systems and storage technology and is responsible for the design and development of advanced security infrastructure and encryption support for Oracle Cloud File System (CloudFS). Brief Posting Description: Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
Detailed Description: As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
Job Requirements: Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization.
Preferred Qualifications: BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.
Additional Details:
We have a requirement for motivated and self-starting individuals with a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D in computer science or equivalent. Work in this area is complex and challenging.
Desired Profile
Skills required for the job includes:
A high level of proficiency in C and data structures.
An in-depth knowledge of OS concepts (multi-threading, memory management, and I/O subsystem), and development experience on at least one flavor of UNIX.
Experience in OS kernel programming, scripting (Perl, shell, Python)
Experiences in the area of security, cryptography, file systems, and clustering is a big plus.
Candidates must have good verbal and written communication skills.
It involves both user and kernel-level development on a range of platforms - Linux, Solaris, Windows, and AIX.
Hired individual will be involved in all phases of design and development of CloudFS security and encryption features, from writing functional and design specs to implementation. Responsibilities will also include maintenance of existing functionality and working closely with QA and documentation teams for getting new features ready for customer shipment.
