Security key generation procedure are described in spec 33.401. Keys are generated at MME, eNB and UE.
In handover scenarios vertical and horizontal key are derive. Procedure to derive and algorithm to derive are explained in above spec. Please ask question if having doubt in particular scenario.

In case of horizontal handover UE is moved from one cell to another cell But with in the same ENB.
So in this case how the security is activated and how key derived ?

I'm aware about LTE key derivation for NAS and AS. I am curious to know how keys are generated for the security protected MBMS services.

When source enodeB triggers Handover Required message to MME. It just has Target ID ( which just tells about the target eNodeB Id ) not at the cell level granularity . My concern is how target eNodeB figure out which of the cell out of 256 cells, need to be prepared for the received handover request message. Is there any IE carry such information within Handover Required or handover request message ?
