Few points should help you -
1. Core i7 does not have seven cores, code i5 does not have have five nor does Core i3 have three cores.
2. Numbers next to i is the relative processing powers or we can say i7 is better than i5 and i5 is better than Core i3 in terms of processing power.
3. i3 is called i3 because of it is rated with three stars, i5 has four stars, and i7 has five. Celeron and Pentium have get one and two stars respectively.
4. All i3 are dual-core processors, all i5 processors are quad cores (with some exceptions) where i7 is also quad-core with hyper threading where each core can handle two thread so we can say 8 core.

Now its upto you what is your requirement and what is the cost you are ready to pay.....

I was searching the differences in normal C-lang multithread program and a multicore programming. Can any one clarify the difference and how the "parallelism" OR "execution-speed" is achieved form multicore programming.

Using the thread attribute we can set the affinity(in which core he has to run) to the thread, not not getting the exact usage of multicore programming.

One more question how to access the common(global data) memory in multicore programming, will synchronization adds delay in execution? If yes then what is the use of multicore programming

Recently a created one virtual machine using virt-manager and libvirt. My colleague asked me to enable virtualization in BIOS setting of host machine before going ahead to create a virtual machine. When I asked him why it is required he could not explain.
I want to know what is the relationship between enabling virtualization and creation of virtual machine on same host.
