GTP: What is the role of GTPv2 protocol while establishing MBMS session ?

Apart from cell(s) synchronization for a MCCH, what are all other functions performed by MCE ?

I know about Sm interface i.e. between the MBMS-GW and MME.
3GPP 29.274 specification has defined a set of MBMS procedures as follows:
1. MBMS Session Start Request
2. MBMS Session Start Response
3. MBMS Session Update Request
4. MBMS Session Update Response
5. MBMS Session Stop Request
6. MBMS Session Stop Response

For rest of interfaces I am not aware.
