MME receives "MBMS Session Start Request" from MBMS-GW. This message contains "MBMS service area" . Can someone please explain it ?
Each MBMS bearer is used to establish an MBMS session and each MBMS session may have multiple MBMS service area. Usually an MBMS service area is same or subset of Multicast or Broadcast service area.
Each MBMS Service area have set of eNodeB.
I was going through SYNC protocol specification i.e 25.446 and stopped at Timestamp field since there were two terms (synchronization sequence and synchronization period) mentioned and I could not understand. Can someone please explain these two terms and tell me what is the significance of timestamp at eNodeB when an SYNC PDU receives over M1 interface ?
