A telecom network can be shared between multiple operators. Passive and active , are mainly two types of network sharing. In Passive network sharing, cell site, electric power/backup, tower can be shared but when we talk about active network sharing, it talks about spectrum (radio resources), cell sharing (broadcasting multi operator PLMNs in SIB1). Core network nodes/elements can also be shared by using GWCN approach .
