What are advantage and disadvantages of switching higher bandwidth (ex 5MHz to 10 MHz) in LTE?

Advantages:
- More bandwidth for a cell results high throughput and high capacity in term of # of users.
Disadvantages:
- Results lesser number of cells.

In LTE FDD mode, eNodeB has two separate earfcn values, one is downlink earfcn and second one for uplink earfcn. Does an UE detect all the possible earfcns(1.4 Mhz, 5 Mhz, 10Mhz etc) of a frequency band ?

Does anyone have bench marking report on max simultaneous VoLTE calls ? Each VoLTE call reserves some bandwidth due to GBR in nature ? I am looking for answer in ideal conditions.

for 3MHZ it is 320 which is not the power of 2 and for 15 its 1536 again which is not the power of 2
