When I run the code on my ID running from a windows 7 computer everything runs fine but when it is run on a different ID at night on the server it fails to finish.

A side question, is there a way of getting a log from a batch?

I have a laptop which wont boot up due to a suspected hard drive gone bad. I would like to be able to boot up this laptop on a bootable CD/DVD and hopefully run some utility to detect or determine if the hard drive on the laptop has gone faulty, can anyone give me recommendations for such a CD/DVD and utility.

I have a machine with a dual-boot setup with Windows 7 Pro and Fedora 20. I wonder if it is possible these days to run the Win7 installation in a virtual machine using the raw disk and still be able to boot it on the bare metal when necessary.

What is the best VM tool for doing this these days?

I'm running win7 prof under Fedora/VirtualBox-5.0-5.0.10_104061_fedora22-1.x86_64 with a valid product key.

If I try to upgrade to win10, it's rejected: cpu not supported (or similar), and not supported video card (the last seems to be a minor issue).

But my CPU is: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9300 @ 2.50GHz. The NX bit is on.

Installing win10 by the media creation tool in VirtualBox runs flawlessly (only the product key is invalid).

So my question: Anybody made similar experiences and could solve the issue?

I have an old W7 system drive with documents on it. If I connect it up through the USB port I can see the directories but I cannot access my old XXXX user area, I get G:/Users/XXXX not accessible - Access is denied.

I have tried making it shared etc. to no avail. How can I get access to the files in this directory?
