The Kid released in 1921 was Charlie Chaplin's biggest box-office hit with its box office earning at $5,450,00.
It was Chaplin's first full-length feature is a silent masterpiece about a little tramp (Charlie Chaplin) who discovers a orphan boy and brings him up but is left desolate when the orphanage reclaims him. Chaplin directed, produced and starred in the film.
