Susan Sarandon
Oscar-nominee Rowlands was directed by her nominated husband John Cassavetes in A Woman Under the Influence (1974), but both did not win. Diane Keaton was romantically linked to Woody Allen when she won Best Actress for Annie Hall (1977), but they never married. Susan Sarandon was the first Oscar winner to win for Dead Man Walking (1995), directed by nominated husband Tim Robbins (unofficial live-in marital partner at the time). In the next year, McDormand won the Best Actress Oscar for Fargo (1996), directed by nominated husband Joel Coen.
