Deven Verma has played the role of amir khan's father in Andaz Apna Apna. The story of this movie is inspired from telugu movie 'Allullu Vasthunnaru'(1984). Again, the plot elements of this movie were later used in other language movies such as Ullathai Allitha (1996), Veedevadandi Babu (1997) and Galate Aliyandru (2000), though none being a frame to frame remake.
