The World Hindi Day (WHD) is observed every year on January 10 to promote Hindi across the world and to mark the anniversary of first World Hindi Conference (WHD)which was held in 1975. Beside this day, the National Hindi Divas is celebrated in India on September 14 every year to mark the day on which the Constituent Assembly adopted Hindi written in Devanagari script as the Official Language of the Union.
