Fair and unfair are very subjective in nature, you can assume that reasons are unfair but school can say its fair reason.
Coming to the different point, if you are suspended for long (every country has different law for the definition of long, but assume its 5 days) then you have the right to “Notice” and a formal suspension hearing (in most of the countries).
