The oldest preserved parts of the text are thought to be not much older than around 400 BCE, though the origins of the epic probably fall between the 8th and 9th centuries BCE.

Mahabharata is a Hindu Mythological Text around a Epic Battle which took place at Kurukshetra, Though correct time if difficult to predict but based on the full solar eclipse which took place in the middle of the war it can be predicted to the 3067 BC so the book should be from that frame only but that was not in the written form but in the verbal form which passed from the generation to generation and been put in the written form sometime about 8th century BC.
