Anthropology is the study of humans and human behaviour and societies in the past and present.
The word anthropology is derived from two Greek words: anthropos meaning “man” or “human” and logos, meaning “thought” or “reason. Its present use first appeared in Renaissance Germany in the works of Magnus Hundt and Otto Casmann.
