George Eastman
Louis Daguerre found a process to speed up photographic exposure using silver compounds, and developed the daguerreotype in 1837. Frederick Scott Archer published his findings on the wet plate collodion process In 1851. Gabriel Lippmann reproduced colours photographically, based on the phenomenon of interference, also known as the Lippmann plate.
