Major hurricanes
Dorian and Lorenzo were Category 5 hurricanes on the Saffir-Simpson scale, Humberto a Category 3. Dorian, with sustained winds peaking at 185 mph (295 km/h), swamped and tore through the Greater Antilles and then the Bahamas in late August and early September.
