Solar
An orrery illustrates or predicts the relative positions and movement of the solar system's planets and moons. A model based on the current view of the solar system was first built in 1704, and presented to the Earl of Orrery. It is akin to the ancient Greek tool known as the Antikythera mechanism, discovered in 1900 and believed to date from the first century BCE.
