The ranking in 2007 according to FAO figures was India, China, Philippines, Brazil, Ecuador, Indonesia, Tanzania, Costa Rica, Thailand, Mexico, Burundi, Guatemala, Vietnam, Kenya, Bangladesh, Honduras, Egypt, Papua New Guinea, Cameroon and Uganda. UPDATE: FAO figures show the ranking from 2010 to 2017 as still being India top and China second.
