As three areas, upper half Asia, lower half divided between Africa and Europe
The map is in the prologue of the second book of the 12 volume "Commentary on the Apocalypse" by Beatus. The map follows the description of the world by 7th century Isidore of Seville, draws heavily on the Book of Genesis in the Hebrew and Christian Bibles, and is shown East-West rather than the current North-South. It echoes the diaspora of the apostles. The map remained a highly respected view of the world and a source of maps in Europe and further for at least 6 centuries.
