Organic synthesis
Organic synthesis is concerned with the intentional construction of organic compounds, a branch of organic chemistry which is developing into one of the most important. Chloramine T trihydrate (CAT) as an active chlorine compound shows antimicrobial activity; it is also a powerful oxidising agent, and can be an all purpose disinfectant for lab and household use, a slimicide for cooling water systems; it is a tool in art conservation as a mild bleach.
