Hieronymus Bosch
The period begins approximately with Robert Campin and Jan van Eyck in the 1420s and lasts until mid 16th century. The Limbourg Brothers (1385-1416) painted in the style known as International Gothic (one well-known work was the "Très Riches Heures de Duc de Berry". Nicolaas van Eyck (1617-79) painted mainly landscapes in a later style.
