Elephant shrew
It is a tiny shrew-like mammal, the size of a mouse, with a tufted tail and a long thin trunk-like nose. Despite the name it is not a shrew, but is more closely related to aardvarks, elephants and manatees. It eats “leaf litter invertebrates” such as ants, termites, beetles, spiders, millipedes, and earthworms. It was rediscovered (by scientists) in Djibouti.
