Her roles include (for TV series) starring as Maya Roy in "Life on Mars", Kalinda Sharma in "The Good Wife" and Dr Patel in "I Know This Much is True", and (in films) starring as Meenah Khan in "East Is East", Pinky Bhamra in "Bend It Like Beckham", Yasmin Husseini in "Yasmin", and Asra Nomani in "A Mighty Heart". Panjabi was the first Pratham USA Ambassador, representing the largest educational movement in India., she has partnered with Amnesty International in their Stop Violence Against Women campaign, and was invited by the Harvard Foundation and Office for the Arts at Harvard University to participate in their Artist in Residence Program in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
