In 2020 Ecuador was the leading exporter of bananas, shipping approximately 4.22 billion U.S. dollars worth. It is not the country which grows the most bananas, which in 2020 was India (Ecuador was 5th in the list); however, Ecuador exports the most, and has had the highest share of exporting for several decades.
