Schistosoma
Schistosoma is a genus of nematodes carried by some snails. The fever is caused by the eggs of the worms which develop inside the infected person. Snail fever, also called bilharzia, may cause a rash or itchy skin and, within 1-2 months of infection, symptoms including fever, chills, cough, and muscle aches.
