The artistic movement Seiz Breur (Seven Brothers)
The movement took its name from a Breton folk tale which designer and illustrator Malivel published in Gallo. It aimed to re-invigorate a rich but fading traditional Breton art, and the sense of national identity in Brittany. It was active from 1923 to 1947 encompassing visual artists, writers, composers and architects.
