Spherical cells in its structures that act as lenses
The cells collect and concentrate any faint light; the chloroplasts then absorb the useful wavelengths of the light and reflect back the remainder towards the light source, giving the plants a greenish-gold glow, which means that in the dim habitats in which they thrive - such as overturned tree roots, entrances to animal burrows and caves - they sparkle like jewels or gold.
