There is a rose bush. A few roses have grown up in the bush. There are a few honey bees hovering over them.

Now read the given statements carefully:
1) If every one of the honey bees lands on a rose, one of them won't get a rose.
2) If two honey bees share rose together, then there will be one rose left without any honey bee.

Can you find out the number of roses on the bush and the number of honey bees?

1. X-1 = Y/2
2. X+1 = Y
then X-1 = (X+1)/2
2X-2 = X+1
2X-X = 3
X = 3, then Y = 4
