Two men come before the king because one of their beloved pets has been claimed by the other. Both of these men claim that the same cow is theirs. The king declares that one of the men will get the cow and he will give the other man one of his cattle, just to be fair. He will decide which man gets which at random. One of the men thanks the king for his generosity but the other man does not accept the offer. One man leaves with the disputed cow.

The one who protests the king's offer must be the owner of the cow, because if it is his beloved pet he wouldn't let chance decide if he gets his cow or not.

The man that does not accept the offer of the king is actually the man that leaves with the disputed cow because he does not want to loose his pet.

The king dies and two men, the true heir and an impostor, both claim to be his long-lost son. Both fit the description of the rightful heir: about the right age, height, coloring and general appearance.

Finally, one of the elders proposes a test to identify the true heir. One man agrees to the test while the other flatly re-fuses. The one who agreed is immediately sent on his way, and the one who re-fused is correctly identified as the rightful heir.

Can you figure out why?

A dozen Royals gathered round, entertained by two clowns;
Each King had servants ten, though none of them were men;
The lowest servent sometimes might, defeat the king in a fair fight.
A weapon stout, a priceless jewel, the beat of life, a farmer's tool.
What are we talking about here folks?

Two men, both the same age, sitting in a Railway Station waiting for their trains, struck up a conversation. One said to the other,' I have three sons. Let's see how many clues I have to give you before you're able to figure out their ages. To make it easy, we'll deal in the whole years only. The question is, what are their ages next birthday?"
The other man agreed to give it a try. The first man continued.
One: the sum of my sons ages is 13. The second man shook his head.
Two: the product of their ages is the same as your age.
"Carry on," said the second man.
Three: my oldest son weighs 91 pounds.
Four: ?
"Stop," said the second man, " I think I've got it.'
What was his solution?
