1.5 hen 1.5 days = 1.5 eggs
3 hens 1.5 days = 3 eggs
3 hens 6 days (1.5 * 4) = 12 eggs

Need 3 hens to have 12 eggs in 6 days

1.5 hens/1.5 days=1 hen/day
(1 hen/day)/1.5 eggs=2/3 eggs per day per hen
12 eggs/6 days=2 eggs/day
(2 eggs/day)/(2/3 eggs per hen per day)=3 hens necessary
