So when the first marriage ended he was 2A years old
Then when his second marriage ended he was
2A + 6 + (A/3)
And finally at death
2A + 6 + (A/3) + ( A + (A/3) + 3 ) = 86 ( age at death )
Solving for A gets A = 21
And his third marriage lasted for
( A + (A/3) + 3 ) = 21 + ( 21/3 ) + 3 = 31 years
So the third Marriage lasted for 31 years.
