A "cloud" is the answer for the following reasons that pertain to the above 3 criteria which are clues to the answer:

  1. A cloud can fly without wings because the buoyancy of it's moisture is similar to that of the atmosophere, and thus it will float.

  2. A cloud can metaphorically cry when moisture condenses into rain.

  3. A cloud will cast a shadow wherever it goes and thus there is a slight amount of darkness underneath the cloud.

clouds
Cloud is correct. However, let me record my thinking.
1) The Sun rises in the east and sets in the west. One can say that it flies in the sky every day and it has no wings.
2) The root cause of the rain is the Sun. So it cries without eyes.
3) We know that on the earth, after sun set darkness results. As such you can say that darkness follows the Sun.
All three conditions satisfied, agree?
