I started out on the journey from the bangalore with a full tank of fuel, 12 litres exactly.

However, the moment I started out, the fuel tank sprung a leak. I travelled at 50 kmph until I ran out of fuel exactly 4 hours later.

I know that the car does 25 km for each litre.

While driving at 50kmph for 4 hours, the person covered 200kms
Considering the fact that his ride offers 25km for each liter, 8 liters would've been consumed for driving those 200kms.

Since he started of with 12 liters in the tank, he lost 4 liters through the hole.

Answer: 4 liters

Its 4 liters. He had travelled 50kmph that means 50x4=200kms. The mileage of the car per liter is 25kms. So the car has to run 12x25=300. 300-200=100kms. 100/25=4ltrs.
