There are 8 people to the left of him and 8 to the right.
If Khan is also a prisoner, there are 17 prisoners.
If Khan is not a prisoner, there are 16 prisoners.

If khan is also a prisoner then 17 prisoners are there else 16 prisoners are there excluding karina.
