A man from Switzerland is stuck in Germany during the World War II.

The only way to escape is to cross a bridge over a river from Germany to Switzerland.

There is a sentry beside the bridge who comes out every three minutes.

If the man goes from Germany to Switzerland, he will be shot.

If he wants to go from Switzerland to Germany, he will be taken back to Switzerland.

It takes six minutes to walks & four minutes if he runs.

Thanks for the query.

The answer is - "When the sentry is about to come out he turns around, and the sentry thinks he is coming from Switzerland to Germany and hence he is forced to go back".

During WWII, there was a bridge connecting Germany and Switzerland, and on the German side, there was a sentry tower with a guard in it. He would come out every three minutes to check on the bridge, and he had orders to turn back anyone who tried to get into Germany, and shoot anyone trying to escape without a pass. There was a woman who desperately needed to get into Switzerland, and she knew she didn't have time to get a pass. It would take her at least six minutes to cross the bridge, but she managed to do it. How?

A man is stuck on an island with his best friend and a fisherman. The fisherman and his best friend go off to catch food while he builds a hut. The fisherman returns alone with some salmon he had prepared. His best friend had fallen off a cliff.

After he is rescued from the man goes to a diner and he orders salmon. He eats his meal, he pulls out a gun and commits suicide. Why does he do this?

Two men are sitting in a room facing each other. The first man is facing the only door, and the second man is facing the first man and he has his back to the door.

The clock in the building chimes every hour, and it is 5 minutes before the next chime. The clock is on the wall where both of them can see it.

The first man says to the second man, "When the clock chimes next, someone will come up from behind you and stab you in the back."

The second man, slightly worried, keeps talking to the first man for 5 minutes. Sure enough, the second man gets stabbed in the back when the clock chimes.

The first man had not arranged for or been informed of someone coming in and stabbing the second man. He also had no control over when the clock chimed. He was also incapable of predicting the future.

How was this?

You are stuck with a gangster who likes to play it rough. The only way to survive is to accept his invitation to play Russian Roulette.

He presents a revolver in which, three bullets have been placed consecutively. Now he spins the chamber cylinder of the gun. The cylinder won’t be spun again. The gun will be passed between both of you till the gun fires and one of you is dead.

Would you prefer to go first or second if you are given a choice?
