He was simply jogging in the forest next to the beach and as he gazed towards the beach (and before he could get a glimpse of the sand) he was attacked and eaten by a tiger.

Why Tiger?
Since a monkey is included in the diet of a tiger, and since humans are nothing more than large monkeys, then a tiger could be included as a possible predator and therefore guilty as charged.

the man was jogging on coral beach or such one of such beach not consisting of sand. there are beaches like this, ex. in Dead sea mineral beach in Isreal.
Another case:
he was jogging on a ship away from the beach, when he looked towards the beach he could see only water.

He was not near the beach, so when he looked in the direction of the beach, he was too far away to see it.
